It’s difficult to believe that August is dwindling away and summer is winding down so quickly. I’ve already heard from friends in New England that sweaters and jackets have been needed on a few chilly nights, so Autumn can’t be far away.
September is my favorite month of the year in New England and I’ll be headed that way after performing this week in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey. I have a gig in Lynn, Massachusetts, on August 31st before kicking off the September tour with Peter and Brendan Mayer at The Rivermill in Dover, New Hampshire on Thursday, September 12th.
From there we travel to The Sandbar in Taunton, Massachusetts, on the 13th, the legendary Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, on the 15th, then on to shows in Philadelphia, Somers Point, NJ, Ashland and Leesburg, Virginia. See below for details and ticket information.
Pete and I have played close to a hundred shows together over the years, and they always prove to be some of my favorite evenings on stage. Having his talented son Brendan along last September, and again this year, is an added bonus as the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Brendan has an amazing voice, plays wonderful guitar and is already writing some great songs!

MASSACOUSTICS TO APPEAR OCTOBER 30 at The Smokin’ Tuna Saloon!
For those of you traveling to Key West at the end of October for this year’s Parrot Heads in Paradise festival, the incredible Massacoustics will be flying in for one very special show on Wednesday evening, October 30, at The Smokin’ Tuna!
Tickets have just become available on Keystix.com so get yours now as this will be an incredible night at The Tuna with Matt and Andy and their special guests. It’s been awhile since these guys have played in Key West so don’t miss this one night performance.
Speaking of October, I’ll be back performing in Key West that week with guitarist David Edmisten and the incredible Emily Leader on fiddle!
