MUMBO JUMBO – October 2013
I glanced at the odometer in the van yesterday and noticed I’d put on about 34,000 miles since leaving Key West last April, and a quick glance at the map tells me I travelled through thirty seven states and parts of Canada on this tour.
It’s a gorgeous day here in Washington, DC, and I’m on the home stretch with shows in the Carolinas, Florida and Alabama, on my way south to my winter port of Key West.

After taking a short break, I’ll settle into my typical winter schedule of performances at The Smokin’ Tuna Saloon in Key West, with a periodic run up to Key Largo for some performances at Snappers, and also plan to set a month or so aside for some writing.
I also hope to reacquaint myself with the ocean! Yesterday, while gazing at all the beautiful sailboats in Annapolis, I realized that I’ve only been sailing twice this summer, which seems ridiculous considering the amount of time I perform on the coast.
MASSACOUSTICS TO APPEAR at The Smokin’ Tuna Saloon!
For those of you traveling to Key West at the end of October for this year’s Parrot Heads in Paradise festival, the incredible Massacoustics will be flying in for one very special show on Wednesday evening, October 30, at The Smokin’ Tuna!

It won’t be long before I’ll be seeing many of you in Key West and hope I can return some of the wonderful hospitality so many of you have shown us over these past months. The road can be an inhospitable place, and it’s only the friendly faces and wonderful places that make it all worthwhile, so thank you all for coming to the shows and making us feel at home!
