| I hope you are all safe and coping with COVID the best you can. I drove through 20 states in the month of June and I can attest that the situation changes state-by-state, week-by-week and day-by-day. I have some friends whose jobs and income have been severely affected, and others who have not missed a day of work and are frankly happier working from home.
I was fortunate to be able to play a limited schedule of small outdoor shows in Texas and Arizona last month before the cases spiked, and then took a beautiful drive through parts of the American West, including the iconic Monument Valley pictured below, where social distancing wasn’t a problem. |

| In the music business, things seem to be in a one-step-forward and two-steps-back mode at present, with 90 percent of shows being limited to small outdoor events and festivals, with a smattering of innovative events staged inside where ample spacing is possible. I recently performed live on PBS TV for an hour in Midland, Texas, in their new studio, which is pictured below. There was a small of group of people allowed in the studio, but thousands of others were able to watch on PBS locally and streaming around the country on Facebook Live, which can still be viewed here! |

| I leave today to return to touring in the Midwest for three weeks in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and I‘m very much looking forward to playing for live audiences at these outdoor venues. Please visit my website for all the venues, ticket info and details!
One of the two indoor concerts on this leg is this Friday, July 10, at the historic Thrasher Opera House, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, at 7:30 central time. There were an extremely limited number of tickets available, but the theater is collaborating with a local TV station to stream my 90-minute concert live and you can watch this broadcast by clicking here! There is a $15 fee which will go to help the theater stay afloat and help support touring songwriters like myself, so if you’re home this Friday, please join us. I’ll be playing several new songs from a new album entitled, “YA GOES TILL YA STOPS.” More on that next month! |
